The Urban Innovator
Urban Development Authority (UDA) with the goal of promoting planned urban development and to elevate Bumiputera economic participation in urban areas, UDA Holdings has since expanded its capabilities as well as its activities. The company was corporatised in 1996, and was later known as UDA Holdings Sdn Bhd before it was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1999. Today UDA has been privatised as a company owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. The company is committed to enhancing its competitiveness while also taking on a bigger role in urban development to meet the needs of the community as well as the interests of shareholders.
UDA is dedicated to delivering innovative products which include malls, hotels and resorts. Mall developments include landmarks such as Bukit Bintang Plaza and Pudu Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. The Group will also be undertaking the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) project at the former Pudu Jail site. In addition, the Group’s hotel and resort developments include the successful Ancasa hospitality brand, with establishments in Kuala Lumpur, Port Dickson and Penang.
The structure of the Group includes the UDA Land Division, UDA Leisure Division, UDA Mall Division, UDA Urban Division and several associated companies. The five companies under the UDA Land Division are UDA Land (North) Sdn Bhd, UDA Land (Central) Sdn Bhd, UDA Land (South) Sdn Bhd, UDA Land (East) Sdn Bhd and Tropical Island Resort Sdn Bhd. UDA Residences Sdn Bhd under the UDA Urban Division is another important property development company within the Group.
UDA Urban Division offerings include condominiums such as Sinaran TTDI and GAYA Bangsar. Sinaran TTDI is a condominium in Taman Tun Dr Ismail with 249 units and a GDV of RM160mil. True to its name, Sinaran TTDI boasts light-filled living spaces, featuring panoramic views of the cityscape and green hills. Situated in an established neighborhood, it offers new heights in contemporary living.
Located on Jalan Pantai Baru, Kuala Lumpur, the Lestari Pantai features two blocks of four-and five-storey business commercial units with a GDV of RM70.4mil. This development was well-received, with most units snapped up within the first four months of being offered. The Urban Division is currently building the first 4-star resort in Pekan, Pahang, which is expected to be ready in 2013. With 133 rooms, Pekan Resort is designed in a modern tropical style and is built on a 6.25-acre lot beside the Pahang River.View Projects
